Researcher Support Services
The staff of the NMRC work to assist researchers to create a wide array of digital graphics, images and text for use in research, e-publishing, conference & special events. We house some of the latest software and hardware to facilitate high end digital services. Among the key services are graphics solution for e-publishing and presentations; banners and poster preparations, scanning & slide imaging, 35mm slides preparation, select video/audio support, digital file conversion and high end laser printing. We readily work with photographs, 35mm slides; text; transparencies; unique electronic formats and various graphic content.

The New Media Resource Center currently has three Epson scanners, with two Microtek 35mm slide scanners and an array of software connected to Dell Pentium workstations. ABBYY and Textbridge for text scanning (optical character recognition, or OCR), Ulead PhotoImpact and Adobe Photoshop are primary software for imaging 35mm slides as well as scans of hardcopy materials.
